The Tradegy in Asia

By Fr. JOSEPH MULLIN National Director of the Pontifical Society of the Holy Childhood THE Catholic boys and girls of England will be celebrating next Friday their fourth Holy Childhood Day.

This is the world-wide Mission Day for children instituted by the Holy Father as a day of prayer for the mission boys and girls and the work of the Pontifical Society of the Holy Childhood.

1 wrote sadly on this occasion last year of the Asian tragedy. This year the situation is even worse.

The most Catholic part of IndoChina has has fallen into Communist ; hands and the total number of missionary priests in China is now only 61.

In the first years of the persecution we managed to get the money to the schools and to the children's hospitals and orphanages — how, the Communists perhaps do not yet
