Sir,-The correspondence on the subject of parish telephones being recorded in the Telephone Directories under "Catholic Church" and the appropriate addresses. instead of under the names of the individual Parish Priests appears to have ceased, to go into cold storage for another year or so when it will again be revived.
Will anything he done? I fear not. A few priests perhans will make the necessary alteration on their own initiative. hut by and large the matter will remain as it is. If there is to he any universal alteration it must come from above, an instruction from the Diocesan authorities, The matter can be simply solved if there is the will. A second insertion can he made in the Telephone Directory for the sum of 12s. 6d. If this were done it would mean that all parish tclenhones could he listed under "Catholic Church" with their respective numbers. and the second insertion with the name of the individual narish priest, Information on this is to he found in the Introduction to all Telephone Directories,
