Many rumours of a forthcoming Consistory for the nomination of new Cardinals have been going round Rome and one newspaper has oven announced a date— February 14.

In fact, however, a Consistory is normally announced about 40 days before the event.

The Holy Father for the first time his pontificate did not take part it the St. Agnes Day ceremony of the lambs.
