FRIEND OF DOM MARMION DIES AT 85

NEWS has just been received of the death of Dom Raymond Thibaut, 0.S.B„ biographer of the Irish Benedictine Dorn Columba Marmion whose cause for beatification has been opened.

Aged 85, Dom Raymond was for many years editor of the famous Revue Benedictine, and he gave that magazine a scientific character which established its reputation among scholars all over the world. He faithfully recorded numerous sermons and conferences given by Dorn Marmion, ,publishing them in three widelyacclaimed volumes under the titles "Christ, the Life of the Soul", "Christ in His Mysteries" and "Christ the Ideal of the Monk".

Born at Hody, in the province of Liege, he was ordained priest in 1902, becoming editor of the Revue Benedictine two years later.
