La ,S'emaine Religiertse, of Paris, in resuming publication. printed an appeal by Cardinal Suhard for remembrance for the clergy who have died.

" In the joy of liberation," the Cardinal says. " we recall all those who paid for it with their lives or their freedom. The faithful in their prayers will bear in mind the clergy of Paris and the priests and religious who participated in such glorious events.

" Thirty-two died for the motherland, 27 priests falling on the field of honour. One priest died from wounds, one monk was shot, and another died in Paris; another died whets administering the Sacrament at the gates of Paris. One hundred and eight were
