At the invitation of the Council of Bishops' Conferences in Europe and of the Conference of European Churches, 40 Catholic bishops and 40 representatives from other Christian churches met for an ecumenical conference in Denmark last week.
The meeting, under the joint chairmanship of Cardinal Hume. took as its theme "Called to one hope — ecumenical fellowship in prayer, witness and service."
