FOUR BOYS from the Oratory School in Woodcote, Berkshire, have been selected to play for national rugby teams.
Ben Henderson, rugby captain at the Oratory School, was selected for the Independent Schools Barbarians national side when representing the south wast section in a tournament.
Ben has gone on to be selected for the national side, going into the squad as the firstchoice hooker to play the Northern Irish Exiles in Lytham, winning the game comfortably 55-17.
Another Oratory player picked for the Independent Schools Barbarians is Harry Goode, who has just returned from a rugby tour in Biarritz. The under 14s-travelled to the French Basque resort to take part in the Trophee Jean Rumeau, a tournament featuring French club sides and other international teams. The final was against a French team, Columbine, ending in a 0-0 draw at the final whistle. The Barbarians won on the most tries scored during the tournament. James McWilliams-Gray has been picked for the Irish Exiles under 20s to play the US Eagles under 20s who are touring Europe in May. Alastair Johnston has played for the south and south west teams in the recent Divisional Championships this year.
