Mrs. J. F. Fielding

Mrs. Mary Fielding, wife of Mr. John F. Fielding. K.C.S.G.. well. known Leeds journalist who has been on the staff of THE CATHOL1'. HERALD for more than fit) years. and a director for 20 years. died on Ascension Day at her home in Leeds. She was 75.

Mrs. Fielding. formerly an active worker for the Cathedral. St. Augustine's and the H,ply Rosary Churches, was one of the first members of the Catholic Women's League. Mr. and Mrs. Fielding would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in September.

Only a few weeks ago Mr. J. F. Fielding became a Knight Commander of the Order of St. Gregory the G reat.

Two daughters. Miss Helen Fielding and Mrs. R. James, are teachers and their only son. Dr. John Fielding. is Medical Officer of Health for Holland County Council.
