A MEDAL FOR THE JOINER

The village joiner of Sicklinghall, Yorks, 73-year-old Mr. James Freeman. who has been an altar server for 68 years, has been awarded the Cross Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice by the Holy Father.

Mr. Freeman has spent nearly all his life in Sicklinghall and started serving at the Church of the Immaculate Conception when he was five years old,
