Radical fidelity

From Fr Bryan Storey SIR When 1 read the confusing reflections of the retired Vatican cardinal (Report, January 20) on marriage and divorce, I could not help but think of the Lord's great and helpful clarity on the issue.

Moreover, there's great help in the powerful reflection of the Holy Father made spontaneously to the Priests of the Diocese of Aosta on July 27 last year. In essence, he reminded us all that true joy is found in growing into spiritual communion with the Cross of the Lord.

Those who suffer because they are not at present able to receive Holy Communion are not excluded from this growth in joyous Faith. This alone has to be the way forward in fidelity to the radical saving Gospel of the Lord.
