" Pool" Christianity ?

Recently a Parents' and Electors' Association was formed at Corpus Chrieti, 1 lollinwood (Oldham), to assist in the fight against the Government's new plan for education—embodied in the White Paper. At first there was a rush to join, but since then the number of parents in the parish who have joined the association has not been too great, and on Sunday they were given a reminder from the pulpit of the importance of a large attacking force of Catholics, by the senior curate of the church, Fr. J. O'Gara.

In denouncing " this ignomy in the shape of a Government White Paper," he said: " the Government has pooled petrol; it has pooled biscuits, and now it will not be satisfield until it has pooled Christianity."
