General Election Candidates to be Interviewed

At their meeting in Low Week the Hierarchy of England and Wales resolved: " That in every constituency in England and Wales representative Catholics of the parishes concerned should interview each of the candidates at the General Election to give information as to the Catholic position on education and the injustices inflicted on Catholic parents by the 1944 Education Act."

THE CATHOLIC HERALD understands that in the proposed interviews them will he no question of submitting a political questionnaire on the educational question to the candidates. On the contrary it is the Bishop's desire that the candidates themselves should be fully informed of the Catholic case by means of such personal contacts.
