Papal tape
A DOUBLE cassette of 14 reflections on the Papal Visit to Britain, by Bishop Harris of Middlesbrough, is to be released by the National Catholic Radio and Television Centre, Hatch End, on Wednesday.
Good job
BONUS Pastor School, Lewisham, London has managed to beat unemployment by an intensive careers effort which has succeeded in placing 90 per cent of its school leavers in jobs. The school has also raised £2,500 for charity this year. On Monday, Dr Tom West will receive a cheque for £1,000 on behalf of St Christopher's Hospice, Sydenham, from the school.
Scots beano
ST ANDREW'S night, on Tuesday, will see a Mass at 7.30 p.m., in St Anselm and St Cecilia's church, Kingsway, London, to be followed by a social (entry El) in the hall. It is arranged by the London Caledonian Catholic Association.
Arcic II
THE SECOND stage of the Anglican/Roman Catholic International Commission (Arcic II) will begin in the latter half of next year. The names of participants have not yet been determined.
Peer group
LORD Mowbray, Segrave and Stourton, the Premier Baron of England, stressed the importance of the recusant remnant of rich families during the penal years in preserving the continuity of English Catholicism. He was speaking to an audience of London University students at Netherhall House, Hampstead, last week.
