Focus on forgotten families

OXFAM'S "Forgotten Families" Christmas Campaign will be launched on Sunday by a rally in Trafalgar Square. The aim of the campaign is to focus the attention of families in Britain on the needs of other families in the poorer countries of the world.

Boys and girls from London schools will read extracts from reports sent in to Oxfam from missions and religious agencies in many parts of the world—reports which underline how great the needs are, and how urgently more help is needed.

During the campaign, Oxfam Family Boxes will be distributed by volunteers to more than half the homes in Britain. Immediately after Sunday's rally a group of young people will take a box to Clergy House, Westminster, where Mgr. G. A. Tomlinson will receive it on behalf of Cardinal Heenan.

Speakers at the rally will include Bamber Gascoigne, Leslie Kirkley (Director of Oxfam), Christopher Chataway, M.P., Shirley Williams, M.P., and James Cameron.
