CARDINAL SEREDI AT OXFORD

Orator's Greeting
At the Oxford Eucaenia on Wednesday afternoon Cardinal Seredi, together with Mr. Anthony Eden, Sir Philip Chetwode and Professor Gilbert Murray, received the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law.
The Public Orator of the University in introducing the Prince-Primate of Hungary and Archbishop of Esztergom praised his great work on Canon Law, seven volumes of which have already appeared, adding that his parents were prophets in naming him "Justinian."
Link with England
The honour was awarded in connection with the tercentenary of the University of Budapest of which the Cardinal was presi dent. The orator also referred to his Eminence's link with England through his titular church of SS. Andrew and Gregory on the Coelian Hill " whence once St. Augustine started for England."
This church was also the titular church of Cardinal Manning.
Retreats For Boys
Application should be made forthwith for the summer retreats which the Dominican Fathers are organising for boys between the ages of 12 and 14. Retreatants pay their own fares and a minimum contribution of 11each towards the expenses.
