I read with interest the article on the Catholic Evidence Guild (July 12), but it does seem to me to he a little misleading —"Tub thumping for tub thumping's sake. Of course, 1 can only give my own reasons for going out to speak, and that is a deep concern for the truths that we are trained to give, and a deep concern for the people to whom we speak.
I would like to quote from Frank Sheed's "Faith conies by hearing" published in 1967: "We seek a union of minds in the hope that a truth living in our mind may become a truth living in theirs. This requires a profound respect for them, an awareness that we are offering men with immortal souls truths that Christ wanted them to have."
