Cardinal lnnitzer Replaced By Archbishop of Salzburg As Negotiator

Acting, it is stated, on orders from the Vatican, Cardinal Innitzer, Archbishop of Vienna, has entrusted future negotiations between the Church and the Nazis in Austria to Mgr. Wait; Archbishop of Salzburg.

Cardinal Innitzer left Vienna in the middle of July to spend a holiday at Kranichberg, near Gloggnitz.

It is reported that the Vatican order that Mgr. Waltz should carry on the negotiations was issued after Mgr. Waitz's last audience with the Pope.
