PUPILS AT a Catholic school in Colchester had a distinguished guest at their celebration of Fairtrade Fortnight – their local MP, Bob Russell.

Mr Russell signed up to the Fairtrade cause after he was invited to do so by students at St Benedict’s College.

Principal Alan Whelan said: “Students at St Benedict’s College Colchester are playing a very full and active part in supporting Colchester’s Fairtrade movement in persuading Colchester Borough Council that the town should become a Fairtrade Town.”
