Swedish TV’s Pope gaffe
SWEDISH PUBLIC television mistakenly published an obituary for the Pope on its website for more than five hours before it was noticed and taken down.
“This was a very unfortunate mistake,” said Johanna Niemi, a spokeswoman for Swedish public television.
An employee had been working on the Pope’s obituary in advance when they mistakenly hit a button that posted the text on the website, she said.
