St. Pius School in Yorkshire to cost £100,000

Fr. T. J. O'Kane, of Wath-onDearne, South Yorkshire, has received the " go-ahead " for a £100000 Catholic secondary modern school to be built at Wath and dedicated to Pope St. Pius X.

It is hoped that work will begin before the end of this month.

The school will accommodate more than 300 children of the 1115 age group from Wath, Swinton. Mexborough, Denaby, Dearne, Wombwell and Hoyland.

Catholics will have to find E50,000 of the cost.
