Do you think seminarians should be "apprenticed" in their diaconate year for practical parish work?
SOME OF US now go to neighbouring parishes on Saturday evenings, stay until the Sunday morning and give sermons. We also help out in the distribution of Holy Communion, and we may soon be performing Baptisms as well. It is a good idea to exercise the powers which we already have through being deacons.
