Haight's sense of love

The Experience and Language of Grace. Robert Haight. Gill & Macmillan, £3.95.

FR ROBERT Haight, SJ, has set out a theological groundwork for understanding the idea of grace in quite a new way. He maintains that grace means many different things to different Christians, and always has done, but all would agree that essentially, grace is God's love for us. The love of God in a very special sense.

He examines Aquinas, Augustine, Luther and what the Council of Trent had to say.
