Re-examination of Zionism

SURELY it is obviouse, alter reading David Alton's two articles on the Palestinian Resistance, and the Zionist case as put forward by the Executive Director of the Board of Deputies of British Jews. that Zionists must re-examine their ideals. (July 4, I I, 18.) "Except the Lord build the house they labour in vain that build it. Except the Lord keep the City the watchman waketh but in vain. The Zionists, from the first, never allowed

that the native population of Palestine had any reality or worth. In Zionism's early days, (1897-1917) this type of colonialist thinking was universally accepted in Europe.

Since 1917 it has become increasingly anachronistic, and it offends eternally against the true principles of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
