THE MEAT RATION

The Englishman, for centuries devoted to roast beef, is not easily reconciled to the small meat ration, although the quantity would be ample for most continental countries. There are plenty of alternative foods sufficient for the healthy nourishment of everyone. It is the rich beef flavour which is missing. The remedy is in the famous Bovril bottle where the concentrated goodness and flavour of prime lean beef is so readily available. It gives the rich flavour of beef to all made up dishes and at the same time increases their food value.
