Successful Newport Scholars

Douglas William H. Casey, who recently won a State Scholarship, has now been offered a Mcyricke Exhibition tenable at Jesus College, Oxford. He is a former pupil of St. Joseph's Schools, Newport. Peter Rex, an old boy of St. Mary's Schools, Newport, who won a State Scholarship at the same time as Casey, left Newport recently to commence studies at Jesus College. He is a member of St. David's parish, Newport, and an active member of the St. David's S.V.P. Conference.

Archbishop Godfrey visited the St. Columba Catholic Services Club, Eaton Square, London, on Friday last, and was shown over the two buildings that now comprise the club.
