CATHOLICS AND ROTARY : DENIAL

La Croix, French Catholic daily newspaper, has been authorised by Mgr. Feltin, Archbishop of Paris, to deny the statement on Rotary clubs in France which he was widely reported to have made last week. Mgr. Feltin was alleged to have stated that "Catholics can and should remain members of Rotary."

La Croix points out that the Archbishop's speech was said to have been delivered at Pontarlier. The original story, published by a weekly provincialjournal, then reappeared in one of the Paris evening papers.
