Turning a blind eye to lung cancer

Keywords: Tobacco, Forest, Smoking

ADAM Raphael is a financial journalist of skill who makes many a heavy subject light for the Observer newspaper. In the same edition where Mgr Bruce Kent laid a pretty sharp blade to Conor Cruise O'Brien's jugular on the subject of CND, Adam uncovered some startling tobacco-lobby pressures on government, both local and national. One of the most chilling items he mentioned was a multi-million pound health research project funded on
condition it did not concern itself with the effects of smoking on health. The organisation concerned is apparently known as the Freedom Organisation for the Right to Enjoy Smoking Tobacco. FOREST for short. have hastily extended the group (I'm sure readers could do much better) to Lessons and Wretchedness Notwithstanding. Observers of the undertaking scene in America will know that we now have FOREST LAWN.
