Father Otto Schwab —according to the Schwarze Korps—of the diocese of Bamberg, wrote in 1911 a book called Moral Distress of the Catholic Clergy. The Nazi paper complacently quotes this book in support of its attacks against the celibacy of the clergy. It further states that Fr. Schwab got his book approved by the then Bishop of Rothenburg.
The Bishop of Bamberg, however, says that there is no trace in the official records of a priest of the name of Schwab in his diocese and the Bishop of Rothenburg says there is no record of such a book being examined by A, past bishop of the diocese..
