THE POPE'S LEISURE

The Pope is taking no holiday this year, as has been previously mentioned. His Holiness takes exercise by walking in the garden of the Vatican each day, and sometimes by taking his car to the top of

Vatican Hill. Here, having paid homage at the statue of Our Lady, he visits the Observatory or the engineers of the Vatican Radio.

On Assumption Day the Pope visited a women's Catholic Action exhibition in Rome. The exhibits were collected from all over Italy and were largely of a sacred nature, many of high artistic value.
