T H E assistant Maronite Catholic bishop of the Beka'a Valley, Rubs Jerios Sehlani, was murdered in Lebanon on Monday along with his nephew.

Meanwhile in Beirut, the Archbishop of Canterbury's special envoy, Terry Waite, said earlier this week that he had "taken a very important step" towards securing the release of four American hostages held by the Islamic Jihad group.
