Mass conversions in Bosnia: Reports reaching Spain suggest that mass conversions of the Orthodox of Bosnia continue. A township in the Karlovich area comprising 400 inhabitants is reported to have embraced

Catholicism en bloc. It is not mentioned whether this is due to the influence, indirect or otherwise, of the Italians, who are in military occupation there.

War prisoners make a pilgrimage : In accordance with the desire of the holy See and with the consent of the British authorities, . Mgr. Gustavo Testa, Apostolic Delegate to Egypt and Palestine, led a pilgrimage of war prisoners to the Holy Sepulchre and others of the Holy Places of Palestine during Holy Weck. Archbishop Testa also visited Italian and German prisoners in a concentration camp in Palestine on East,' Sunday.

To represent English-speaking peoples all over the world: The Rev. Dr. Walter S. Carroll, Ainerican priest attached to the Papal Secretariat of State, has been appointed to the Supreme Council of the Missionary Union of the Clergy, representing the English-speaking peoples. When he was appointed to the Papal Secretariat of State in September, 1940, Dr. Carroll had then only recently returned to the United States after nearly a decade abroad. After attending Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, he made graduate studies in Philosophy at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, subsequently attending the North American College and the Apollinare Institute in Romc. He also made special studies at the Universities of Tours, Florence and Perugia.

Marriage loans in Spain: It is announced that in the six months ending December 31, 1941, 10,030 Spanish couples. have married under a scheme launched last summer whereby loans are arranged to enable people to marry. In this way some £500.000 has been expended. There were five times as many men borrowers as women.
