Industrial cancer

Peter Ransley, like David Hare whose "Knuckle" was reviewed last week, made his London debut at the Hampstead Theatre Club. But although Peter Ransley's play. Runaway. at the Royal Court Theatre. is also very much a pl.iy ni tiul.uv. it does not have

the theatrical impact of "Knuckle.

The subject of the play, industrial cancer, is of great concern. It has a factual, not a fictional theme. but the vvriting. unlike that of David Hare, is sumer.% hat obseure. There are good performances by Kevin Moreton itnd Bill Owen.
