Cardinal Griffin, Archbishop of Westminster, left London on Wednesday by air for Vancouver. He will be met there by Cardinal McGuigan, Archbishop of Toronto, whose guest he will be, and Cardinal Gilroy, Archbishop of Sydney, who is !lying from Australia for the visit.
The three Empire Cardinals will make an extensive tour through Canada, from west to east.
Cardinal Griffin, who is not expected to return to this country until the end of September, will, It is thought, meet Cardinal Spellman, Archbishop of New York, before he leaves for England.
