US bishops visit Iraq

IRAQIS want a return to peace, security and stability and the chance to secure meaningful employment, two American bishops who visited Baghdad have said.

Bishop Gerald Kicanas of Tucson, Arizona, who travelled with Bishop George Murry of Youngstown, Ohio, said the massacre in a Baghdad Catholic church last year “was a defining moment for Christians, realising that they weren’t safe”.
