THE beatification of the 'Molten Fr Otto Neururer is likely to be finalised in November. The Austrian priest advised against the marriage of a young girl to a divorced unbeliever of Hitler's Stormtroopers. He was sent to Dachau concentration camp and later to Buchenwald where he eventually died suspended by his ankles.
AIDS Mass
MORE THAN a dozen people with the disease AIDS were annoinled al a special Mass in New York's Greenwich Village. Fr Bill Nichols, S,I, told the congregation of 500 that sickness "while it is closely related to man's sinful condition, cannot be understood as a punishment which man suffers for his personal sins."
Immigration criticised
SOLIDARITY, the Polish trade union, has criticised Polish immigration to South Africa, said the monthly newsletter of the South African Catholic bishops. Solidarity's office in Belgium said Immigration was part of a government plan to deny jobs to black workers.

THE MAN who shot the Pope in 1981. Mehmet All Agca, took part In a re-enactment of the assassination attempt, stopping Rome traffice, on Tuesday. The Italian magistrate investigating the involvement of alleged Bulgarian accomplices, and two Bulgarian magistrates witnessed the exercise.
Police visit
FR IIEBRON Wilson (39) a Zimbabwean born priest, whose recent allegations that the Fifth Brigade were continuing a reign of terror in Matabeleland immediately prior to their withdrawal, in June and July this year, have received wide publicity in the foreign media, has been visited by the 010, Robert Mugabe's secret police. Fr Wilson was questioned by the OM but later released according to sources.
