ENTHRONED IN CHICAGO A RCHBISHOP MEYER, son of • a Milwaukee grocer, was

enthroned last Monday as archbishop of the huge Chicago archdiocese, the largest in the United States.

At 55, he is the youngest archbishop in the United States. He publicly thanked the late Pope Pius XII for his episcopal appointment, and said that he had reaped the rewards of the work of the late Cardinal Stritch.
