Six and a half tons of chalices, Mass vestments and other liturgical requisites have been sent to Rome from Barcelona for distribution among poor missions from gifts made to the organising committee of the International Eucharistic Congress.
They had been used by the thousands of priests who went to Barcelona for the congress last May.
The Holy Father has granted the personal title of Archbishop to the Bishop of Barcelona. Mgr. Gregorio Modrego, in recognition of the success of the congress.
