CIATI fOLIC Scouts in the LiverILA pool Archdiocese are currently planning a "Pilgrimage of Faith" by plane and land transport of all descriptions for the summer of I 964.
The plan. announced in the June edition of their newsletter. "The Link". envisages the flying of a religious symbol (its precise nature as vet undetermined) from Rome to the landing-place, in this country, of St. Augustine.
It will then be taken overland to Tawd Vale Camp, near Liverpool, by every kind of transport which has been, or is now used to carry priests in their pastoral work. Trains, buses, horses. cars, motorcycles, bicycles and "shank's pony" will all be pressed into service, and the pilgrimage will end with a ceremony on August 15, 1964, at the camp.
The aim of the exercise is to counteract the current trend towards decrying the value, or even existence, of a Faith in England today.
