Fr Joseph O'Neill, who died aged 64, was parish priest of St Charles, Gosforth since 1969. He was born in Co Durham, studied at Ushaw College, and was ordained July 20 1947. He also served in the parishes of Dunston, Felling, Walker and Whiteleas. FR Daniel Kelly OSB, has died aged 72 at Workington Priory after a long illness. Born in Edinburgh in 1915 he was educated at Fort Augustus school.
He entered the monastery when 18 and was ordained in 1940.
He served in the parishes of Maryport, Lostock Hall, Brindle, Warrington and Workington.
