HAZLEWOOD CASTLE, near
Tadeaster, Yorkshire, dating back to the 1 lth century and having much Catholic interest, is for sale.
The owner, Mr. Eric Fawcett, has announced that the Castle is to be sold or let. The first mention of Hazlewood is in the Domesday Book. For more than 800 years it was the home of the Vavasour family. Mr. Fawcett bought Hazlewood in 1953.
The castle and grounds have been open to visitors for several years. Of special interest to Catholics is the public chapel with relics of Reformation times.
