Fordham's Million and a Half Dollar Centenary Fund

The Jesuit University of Fordham, New York, has announced that it will attempt to raise a Centenary Fund of 1,570,000 dollars in connection with the all-year celebration of Fordham's 100th anniversary.

Part of the Centenary Fund will be used to erect a 1,000,000 dollar 12-storey school building in downtown Manhattan about half a mile from the famous Wall Street financial district.

Already two new residence halls to accommodate 104 boarding students are complete at a cost of 210,000 dollars. An anonymous donor subscribed the entire cost.
