News has been received via America of the death, last month, at Louvain of Dom Maternus Spitz, O.S.B. He worked in the parish of Erdington Abbey, Birmingham, from 1905 to 1922, which at that time was in charge of Benedictine Fathers, and was a well-known contributor in several papers on subjects relating to Foreign Missions.
