Hexham and Newcastle The following newly-ordained priests have been appointed in the diocese of Hexham and Newcastle: The Rev. Joseph Smyth, Our Lady Immaculate and St. Cuthbert, Crook.

The Rev. Peter Dunne, St. Mary's, Sunderland.

Leeds The following appointment in the diocese of Leeds is officially announced: The Rev. J. McGrath, to be curate at the Holy Rosary Church, Leeds.

Plymouth

The following appointments in the diocese of Plymouth are officially announced: The Rev. E. McGinley, B.A., Chaplain at Most Holy Redeemer Convent, Chudleigh, to be parish priest, Axminster, in succession to the lately deceased Canon John Lee.

The Rev. Jules van Heede, Syon Abbey, replaces the Rev. J. Ryan at Tavlstock.

Salford
