Boys Towns Nebraska, Fr. Flanagan's famous home which was filmed, has a turn on the radio now on Sundays, It is fr. Flanagan's personal programme in which he is featared with the Boys Town musical groups.
The programme, a 15-minute broadcast, originates directly from Boys Town, and can be heard over WEW, the nation station, Cincinnati, Ohio, from 3.30 to 3.45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (2.30 to 2.45 p.m. ,Central Standard Time).
The programme is directed to parents. It gives the parents the benefit of Fr. Flanagan's 25 years' experience with youth.
Individual cases where parents seek advice from Fr. Flanagan are explained or dramatised. Names of parents_ seeking the advice are deleted.
"I feel that many situations have confronted me during my 25 years working with youth. which are similar to problems arising each day in the homes the nation over," Fr. Flanagan said. " If I can pars on rny experiences with youth, I feel I .ant helping both parentc,. and youth. I have long felt that parents need a radio programme of this type."
The Boys Town choir and band are featured. Both organisations have spent the entire summer vacation period preparing for this series of broadcasts..
