Priest Settles Labour Dispute

A Chicago parish priest recently settled a dispute which had involved two strikes since April of this year, Mgr. Dennis J. Dunne was accepted as chairman of a board of arbitration between the Milk Dealers' Association and the Milk Roundsnien's Union in that city. His decision will bring eight months' peace as an agreement, for that time was entered into upon his finding.

The case is of importance for the future relations of the Church in the U.S. with organised labour, and received wide publicity. '

Both parties In this dispute had appealed to the Archbishop of Chicago. Mgr. S. A. Stritch, who appointed Mgr. Dunne arbitrator, but the significance of this settle'lent is that it may have the result that other industrial disputes are referred to a court which recognises justice both for 'employer and employee.
