Head of Augustinians is elected for second term

FR DAVID MIDDLETON, the former prior of Clare, has been re-elected as the head of the Augustinian order in Britain for a second fouryear term.

He will be the principal celebrant at Mass during the national Augustinian pilgrimage to Clare Priory in Suffolk on Sunday, May 10. The annual pilgrimage, which starts at 11.30am, is in honour of Mary, Mother of Good Counsel, who is the patroness of Augustinian friars in England and Scotland. A rosary procession will be followed by a service of reconciliation.

Fr Bernard Rolls OSA, Prior of Clare, said: “All are welcome, particularly local families who may like to join us for all or part of the day, or just to bring their picnics and enjoy the priory.”
