HANDBOOK FOR VIGIL PILGRIMS

A2s. 6d. Vade mecum, just A2s. 6d. Vade mecum, just issued by the Paraclete Press, Bickley, Kent, for all-night vigil pilgrims to Lourdes, with illustrations and a map of the town and sanctuary, has a foreword by Bishop Theas of 1 arbes and Lourdes, where he addresses the Hon. Mrs. Bower, organiser of the pi Igri mages, and says : " 'Your Initiative has been willed by Our Lady and this movement is blessed by Her. Yours are model pilgrims because at Lourdes they devote themselves to prayer and penance." The booklet is compiled by Fr. Bernard Slevin, C.S.Sp., who has been in the 'forefront of the vigil movement, and contains detailed instructions for pilgrims from the moment they assemble at Westminster Cathedral till they arrive back in London. It includes all the prayers and exercises. together with the votive Mass of Our Lady. in Latin and English, usually said at the shrine. The Bishop of Northampton's blessing. given to the All-Night Vigil Group, is printed, and the imprimatur is that of the Bishop of Southwark.
