I R,-May l thank Mr. D. O'Toole for so aptly recalling Francis Thompson's verses which I too love and often quote. And may I mention that I had written, as head-line to my "postscript" note: "They do, but say not". The change from "They say, but do not" was deliberate, but quite naturally may have not been noticed, or taken for a slip. The point was. that not without Grace do many live the Christian life and yet can profess no Creed.
