A CAUSE FOR REJOICING

attention has been

drawn to the report in your issue of April 10 of the Pope's decision to omit the words perfidis and perfidiam from the Good Friday liturgy. You conclude this reference with the statement that the "Jewiah Chronicle " reported the change in the prayer without coffin-leo I Our issue of April 3, which contained a report of the Pope's decision. also included an editorial note welcoming the important pronouncement which it described as deeply gratifying. The editorial concluded with the observation that this and some other indications previously referred to should give cause for rejoicing to religious believers of every creed.
