PRAYING 'THE LITURGY Sna-Possibly the mother's query in your last

issue might be answered if a children's prayerbook were issued with the Latin text of the Mass on one page and a paraphrase, in English words chosen to train the child and guide it in the general meaning of the Latin, on the page opposite: just as in our adult prayerbooks we have Latin and a literal English version opposite.

Such an arrangement should, one would hope, largely obviate the complaints heard nowadays in many quarters, that Mass in local vernaculars should be substituted for the Church-wide Latin.
